Why did you choose Los Cabos for your destination wedding? We chose Los Cabos, Mexico for our wedding because we absolutely love it there and have been vacationing every year there for the past 8 years. It is a short, direct flight from Vancouver/Canada, and the weather is wonderful. We also love the Mexican people and appreciate their warmth and kindness. The scenery is breathtaking and the food choices in Cabo are endless. The vendors we chose were very experienced, so planning a wedding remotely was really easy and painless!
How was the experience of working with our team & vendors? I cannot say enough about all of the vendors that we chose. Suzanne Morel and her team were fantastic to work with and extremely organized, so I had no worries. Elsa, from Suzanne’s team, coordinated all of our vendors on our wedding day and made sure that everything was just perfect! I found that Suzanne (Linens, Things & More) and I had a similar esthetic and our décor ideas for the big day meshed very well together. Her makeup/spa team, starting with Melissa, were just amazing and very sweet! I have never felt so beautiful in my life.
The team from CaboVillas.com (Earth, Sea & Sky Vacations) from Cori to Carlos at Villa Pelicano were very professional and responsive to our needs.
Our reverend Marco Arechiga was wonderful and his words were very thoughtful and touching during our ceremony. We loved our guitarist Arturo Sotomayor, all of our guests just loved listening to him play. Lisa and her team from A Matter of Taste Catering also did a fantastic job. The food from the appetizers to the dessert was simply scrumptious! As for our wedding cake and all of our gorgeous flowers, Donna and Francine at Cabo Flowers could not have done any better. Our photographer was Enrique Morales and from my first contact with him until my last, he was extremely professional and personable and we loved working with him. The pictures tell the story, we have some really gorgeous photos to look back on as we start our married life together.
What were your favorite aspects of Villa Pelicano?
- The location: we liked being a little removed from the busier downtown Cabo, yet close enough to get there by taxi or car. It was really quiet and we had the beach almost to ourselves outside Villa Pelicano. Having the Sheraton Resort within walking distance was also great for our guests.
- The villa itself was gorgeous and the views from all the main rooms and bedrooms were just stunning. It turned out to be the perfect venue for our family vacation and for our small, intimate wedding.
- The process of renting the villa through CaboVillas.com was very easy and I never had an issue with getting responses to any questions I had during the whole process.
